| Logan Washboard Arts Music Festival Music - Entertainment - Kids Fun Every year the downtown streets of Logan, Ohio come alive with the celebration of the washboard, as a musical instrument. Logan is the home of the Columbus Washboard Company, the only remaining washboard manufacturing company in the U.S. It all began in rural America around mid-1800s, where music was a center piece of family entertainment, but money was scarce. So, the washboard, an empty jug, along with a stick and string attached to metal tub turned upside down, became the backwoods answer to Saturday Night at Carnegie Hall. Modified to form a vest that hangs from the shoulders, that same raspy sound of energy also became the source of rhythm for Cajun music throughout the Bayou. | Ash Cave Fall Drum Circle and Healing Gathering Join us again at the Cave for our Fall Drumming Gathering Celebration! It will be a fantastic day filled with music, laughter, and good vibes. Remember to bring a blanket or chair to get cozy, some snacks to keep your energy up, and your drums! The festivities will kick off at 11 a.m. We'll enjoy each other's company, drumming, dancing, and having fun until around 4 p.m. We'll be holding our drum healing session around 3:30, which is always a beautiful and powerful experience.
