We will be running “March Madness Steam Specials” at 1:30 p.m. March 29 and 30. Space is limited and advance purchase is recommended! Music - Entertainment - Kids Fun Every year the downtown streets of Logan, Ohio come alive with the celebration of the washboard, as a musical instrument. Logan is the home of the Columbus Washboard Company, the only remaining washboard manufacturing company in the U.S. It all began in rural America around mid-1800s, where music was a center piece of family entertainment, but money was scarce. So, the washboard, an empty jug, along with a stick and string attached to metal tub turned upside down, became the backwoods answer to Saturday Night at Carnegie Hall. Modified to form a vest that hangs from the shoulders, that same raspy sound of energy also became the source of rhythm for Cajun music throughout the Bayou. Songwriters, poets, writers, and musicians are all welcome to come perform in the grand lobby on the first Tuesday of every month from 7pm-9pm! With over 60 makers you are sure to find the perfect holiday gifts, these gifts that give twice. This is an indoor and outdoor event, it will be cold depending on the weather. This event is held at the Poston Manor and Event Barn, our storefront on Main Street will remain open during the market. Admission includes a donation of at least one of the following: 1. QR Code or Cash donation inside the barn. 2. Purchase of GTGB material inside the barn (supports the GTGB Adopting Couple). 3. Non perishable food to the SE Ohio Foodbank 4.
